Mounts are vehicles, usually Temtem, that can be ridden to allow navigation of the Airborne Archipelago quickly and without encountering wild Temtem. They can be obtained in the late game, with the easiest one to obtain being a reward from Ride the Minox, a quest not available until after completing the main story, or purchased from the cosmetic store. They function as an object and do not take up space on the Temtem squad.

Wild Temtem encounters are disabled while on a mount, but NPC Tamers will still initiate combat if the player moves into their sight. All mounts move at the same speed, which is approximately 15% faster than walking, except the Speedy Goolder Steed, which is slower than walking pace. If a mount is purchased from the cosmetic store, it will not have either of these benefits until the Ride the Minox quest has been completed.

Only three mounts are available without requiring the purchase of Novas or waiting for them to appear for feathers in the daily shop:

• Minox Steed is a reward for completing Ride the Minox
• Classic Scooter is a reward for completing Gotta StickTem All!
• Megazizare Steed is a reward for successfully completing a run of the Nuzlocke Game Mode

History

Mounts were a stretch goal reached during the Kickstarter campaign. The goal was met and mounts consequentially first announced on 9th June 2018 and finally implemented on 21st April 2022.
