Talk:Techniques
The damage formula should probably also include Strengths and Weaknesses, Traits, Items, and anything else that can affect the final damage dealt. --BlacRyu (talk) 00:01, 24 January 2020 (UTC)
Hi, while scrolling through the pages and sorting out the spanish ones - I guess this one was accidentally translated? Encredechine (talk) 07:47, 7 September 2018 (UTC)
- Yes, the spanish pages were accidentally imported to the wrong wiki, overwriting the english ones. I thought I fixed them all but I guess I missed this one.
--Mr Pie 5 (talk) 08:18, 7 September 2018 (UTC)- ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Oh well, I guess that does happen! Encredechine (talk) 08:48, 7 September 2018 (UTC)
About damage formula[edit]
It is unclear in the damage formula when STAB, traits, and gear affect the calculation. What i have read elsewhere seems to imply that these are involved in the " * modifier " part, but it doesn't mention if these modifiers are additive or multiplicative. For example, the Ice Cube gear gives 20% reduction from fire techniques. If a fire technique is used on a nature Tem with Ice Cube, it is unclear whether this would give 1.6x (2x type modifier * 0.8x gear modifier) or 1.8x (200% type modifier - 20% gear modifier) of the unmodified damage. The current STAB section implies it is at the very end of the calculation, giving 50% after all other modifiers.
I don't have enough game knowledge to know this nor how to find out. Please rewrite if you do.
About priority[edit]
Does ultra priority surpass the use of items like balms or ethers?
