Gender?[edit]

Why is he listed as non-binary? Is that something mentioned in the story, or did I just miss it? Locket (talk) 00:43, 13 February 2020 (UTC)

The exact terminology is from YaW: https://discordapp.com/channels/417595319849713664/451416929559904258/584821888639959106
I don't believe it comes up in-game aside from other NPCs using they/them pronouns when referring to Max.

I see, I'll keep that in mind when referring to them then. Locket (talk) 01:17, 13 February 2020 (UTC)

Strategies to defeat them[edit]

  • It's impossible to defeat them in the first battle in Zadar.
  • In the second battle in Arissola, Max is severely countered with a Nessla that has the Electric Synthesize trait. You can attack their Piraniant, Saipat, Barnshe and Oree for super effective damage with an electric move, and their Ganki will keep healing you with Chain Lightning, as the AI doesn't detect Nessla's trait. Strangely their Ganki usually hits its own partners and doesn't show any other move. They will start with their Loali and Piraniant. Focus on defeating the only Temtem not weak to Electric moves, Loali, who will spam Toxic Spores whenever you have a non-poisoned Temtem. Once you have taken it out, send Nessla into the battle.
  • In the battle in Kakama Cenote, Nessla is again super useful, but you should first defeat their Goolder and Mudrid. The rest of their team is weak to electric attacks, and their Gazuma will heal Nessla with its Chain Lightning. Max's Saipat doesn't know any move with 0 hold, so it will always rest in the first turn.
  • Max's Oree/Zaobian, depending on the battle, knows a very powerful Digital attack named Turbo attack but needs to hold 1 turn. In its first turn it will presumably go for Tesla Prison, so use Nessla to tank it and focus the Oree/Zaobian with both of your Temtem, ideally with Water or Electric moves, before it can use its Turbo Attack.
