Currencies

Spending[edit]
This currency can be used to purchase:
- Cosmetics
- Furniture for player houses
- Temtem Radars
- TV Essences
- Telomere hacks, hotfixes, and bugs
- Learning Aid+
- Soulbinders
- The premium track of each season's Tamer Pass for 2000

Novas [edit]
Novas are a retired premium currency which could be purchased with real world money. To avoid being Pay-to-Win, they can only be spent on Cosmetics. Novas are tied to the platform on which they were purchased, even with cross-progression enabled (e.g. Novas bought on Steam wouldn't be usable on Switch, or vice versa). Novas earned in-game are put into a shared inventory. Platform-specific Novas are always used first, as they are more restrictive.
Obtaining[edit]
This currency can no longer be obtained. With their removal in Patch 1.7, players' Nova amounts were rounded up to the nearest 50 to ensure the ability to spend them all. In-game sources of Novas now give Feathers and all Nova-exclusive purchases can now be made with Feathers. The game prioritizes spending Novas over Feathers if enough are available for the purchase; a purchase cannot be split between the two. While they can no longer be obtained, existing Novas will never expire. Past methods of obtaining this currency included:
- 100 each for Tamer Pass tiers 10, 29, and 60 of the free track (300 total) and tiers 6, 19, 26, 33, 40, 45, and 55 of the premium track (700 total)
- 1-6 each for weekly Tamer Pass challenges
- Dojo Wars
- Purchasing with real money through the Store
Spending[edit]
This currency can be used to purchase:
- The premium track of each season's Tamer Pass for 750
- Featured and daily items in the Store
Luma Drops [edit]
Luma Drops are a special currency obtained by trading in Unique Temtem to the Luma Researcher in Nanto Labs.
Obtaining[edit]
Methods of obtaining this currency include:
- Trading in Unique Temtem at Nanto Labs
- The amount of Luma Drops rewarded to the player is determined by their highest spawn rate in the wild, and also by the player's ownership status of the Temtem. If the Temtem is:
- Non-OT Luma (not registered as the Original Tamer) and non-Soulbound (Soulbinder has not been used on the Temtem), only the base value is rewarded.
- Non-OT Soulbound Luma Temtem are rewarded as the base value x1.5.
- OT Luma Temtem are rewarded as the base value x2.0. OT and Soulbound multipliers do not stack.
- Umbra Temtem are rewarded as the base value x5.0. Umbra Temtem are always OT and Soulbound.
- The amount of Luma Drops rewarded to the player is determined by their highest spawn rate in the wild, and also by the player's ownership status of the Temtem. If the Temtem is:
