The Xolot Reservoir is the second-largest body of water in the Archipelago, but is unsafe to drink or swim in due to being highly toxic. Its pollution is a completely natural phenomenon, caused by volcanic fumes and ash blowing from Anak to Tucma to create acid rain and the acidic reservoir. As the water drips through the soils to Quetzal, it is purified, supplying natural water and the city's drinking supply. The oldest life-form of the Xolot is Blooze.

Appearance[edit]

The Xolot Reservoir covers a massive area in the center of Tucma's surface, consisting of a few stretches of land surrounded by highly toxic bright pink water. While most of the land is natural, a few artificial walkways have been built as well. The area is mostly inhabited by curious teens, Quetzal guards, or bandits, although the scientist Sugey has also set up a makeshift lab here. Near the southern end of the reservoir, a rocky opening can be seen, where water begins to purify as it falls down into the Kakama Cenote.

Trivia[edit]

  • Dialogue from the bandits on Tucma's surface suggests that the water of the Xolot is highly corrosive, able to dissolve most organic material and leave valuables like metal for scavangers to fish out.
